As artificial intelligence replaces humans, everything is returned to images and digital senses, and humans are communicating more with machines than each other. The communication through machine is rapidly evolving as it represents the senses of the present era and artificial intelligence mimics and specializes in a sense that transcends human ability. Looking back on the sense of regression, our existence, and the litimitation of commmunication within it, it became the starting point of the work to ask fundamental questions about what we are missing.

“Gul” is inspired by ants’ communication with pheromones in their burrows and wants to see the importance of human senses and the possibility of a body with a primitive sensory state through this work. By placing scents that fit the theme in different rooms and experiencing the five senses through motility devices, we try to find the meaning by awakening the original communications of direct senses within the realm of humans through the body. We ask questions about the possibility of the living body and the true vitality of the senses across the boundaries of perception and sensory limits without alienating the senses of the body as well as intelligence and mind and slowly identify the overall relevance of existence, and talk about the role and phenomenon of the true senses.
